Not-so-final Plans

By | July 16, 2014

With the Outback UAV Challenge only 10 weekends away, we are starting to finalise our plans for the rest of this time. It is important that we are able to test all our our equipment and procedures prior to this time.

The main items to test are the bottle drop, camera/imagery system, radio links and ground station. Most of these items have been either bench-tested to some extent or are an evolution of prior equipment we have flown.

On top of this, we plan to run a couple of mock OBC scenarios to make sure our team members know what and when their tasks are. Of note is the 20 minute setup time in which we need to set up both the UAV and ground station, in addition to running our pre-flight checks.
